About me...
After more than 40 years in dentistry, I have been blessed to experience this profession from various perspectives. For 32 years, I provided chairside patient care, and for 8 years, I led and supported hundreds of hygienists within a growing dental support organization.
Throughout my career, one thing became clear: when hygienists feel empowered, supported, and valued within the hygiene community, they thrive. And when hygienists thrive, patients receive better care, teams become stronger, and practices grow.
I started Hygiene Hype to create a space where dental professionals could feel inspired, encouraged, and equipped to be their very best. It’s a place where clinical excellence, leadership, communication, culture, and personal growth come together.
My passion has always been about mentoring hygienists, helping them discover their potential, build confidence, and elevate their impact daily. Whether coaching a hygiene team, speaking to a room full of dental professionals, or working one-on-one with a practice, my goal remains the same: to empower dental hygienists, elevate patient care, and energize team culture.
Hygiene Hype is more than a business—it's the fulfillment of a dream years in the making. It represents a career dedicated to serving patients, supporting teams, and investing in the future of our profession.

I have 5 amazing grandchildren who are the light of my life!
I have been married for almost 40 years.
Hobbies: Travel, hiking, days on the lake, and time with family!
My Story
People often ask why I left clinical practice after 32 years.
The answer is simple—I didn't leave because I stopped loving dental hygiene.
In fact, I loved it.
I spent 32 years with the same practice, growing alongside an incredible team and caring for patients who became like family. Over those years, I was fortunate to help build a thriving hygiene department, growing from three operatories and a small team to a practice with 17 operatories and more than 35 team members. I was trusted with opportunities to lead, mentor, and help shape the culture of a practice I truly loved.
I thought I'd spend my entire career there.
Then, in 2018, life changed.
My daughter gave birth to a beautiful little girl who we knew before birth would face significant medical challenges. My family needed me—not just as a grandmother, but as a source of support and care during an incredibly emotional time.
Leaving the practice I loved was one of the hardest decisions I've ever made.
It wasn't because I wanted something different. It was because my family needed me.
That decision opened a door I never expected.
I stepped into a leadership role supporting dental hygienists across multiple practices. What began as a way to create flexibility for my family quickly became a new passion. I discovered how much I loved mentoring clinicians, developing leaders, building systems, and helping entire teams grow.
Over the next eight years, I had the privilege of supporting hundreds of hygienists, partnering with doctors and practice leaders, and helping build clinical excellence across a growing organization.
Looking back, I realize I never left dental hygiene.
My impact simply became bigger.
Today, Hygiene Hype brings together everything I've loved throughout my career—patient care, leadership, education, coaching, and culture.
My mission is to help dental teams build confident hygienists, healthier patients, and practices where people genuinely love coming to work.
